The Dream Team

Peer-driven knowledge translation and sharing. Every week we are co-creating & co-developing capacity building and empowerment of women, men and gender-diverse persons living with HIV, persons who use drugs, and people who are experiencing homelessness or unstable housing. We work with Peer Leaders to investigate pathways for culturally appropriate and effective knowledge sharing.

Lisa Patrick
Hello, my name is Lisa Patrick. I am a member of Sisters of Fire. My spirit name is Yellowhead River. My mother is from Roseau River, Manitoba and my late father is from Long Plain, Manitoba. I had to fight stigma within myself first before I could help others. For 16 years I have been fighting for my health and also to help others live in peace, inside and outside of the human form. The work I have been involved in has changed lives for the better. Times have changed and so have the medications that help people. Thank you for taking the time to understand that everyone’s story is the truth and that we all come from different walks of life.

Podcast series: Reconciliation

Led by Heather Pashe, Indigenous Cultural Advisor with the All Together 4 Ideas team, this podcast series will offer tools, teachings, and stories to help people develop a deeper understanding about Truth and Reconciliation and what that looks like in Canada. Heather will explore issues such as Cultural Safety in Research, Residential Schools and intergenerational trauma, and Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.

This podcast will also highlight the work that is being done through our community-based HIV and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI's) research project and how this work aims to advance decolonization and reconciliation.
