Outreach initiatives
The All Together 4 Ideas research team, along with student volunteers, hold community outreach activities throughout the year. During these activities, we deliver seasonal-specific supplies, food, water, hygiene products, HIV self-testing kits, and harm reduction supplies to folks living in encampments across our city.
We also bring flyers with information on safe sex, safe drug use, shelters and other organizations that support people experiencing houselessness and other social services, among other resources.
We aim to reach as many people living in encampments in different areas of Winnipeg as possible.

Community Outreach Initiative Event
April 3, 2025
We prepared and delivered 75 hygiene kits, 23 harm reduction kits, 15 naloxone kits, 149 sandwich and snack bags. In addition, we delivered donations of clothing, shoes and other accessories. Along with our prepared kits, we included information about HIV, safer drug use and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections testing, prevention and treatment.

The Peer Research Team defined the route where most may need these donations. Our team walked for two hours starting at the Bannatyne Campus, down to Portage Place and back around. On this route we met many amazing people and handed out all of the supplies.
